Trip Overview
The word conjures up visions of mysterious monasteries of snow west¬ern Nepal Dolpa is one of the most remote of Nepal's regions . By special per¬mit through our Nepalese tour operator, we are able. to offer. this-day trek through upper and lower Dolpo. In addition to trekking we will spend a day rafting on the Trisuli River, three days in remote Bardia. National Park (looking for rhinos and tigers) and 4 days in Kathmandu visiting Buddhist & Hindu shrines and temples.
We trek 200 miles, averaging 10 miles a day. We spend 6-8 hours a day trekking several layover days are planned. Porters carry a day pack with the things you need for the day. Participants should be in good shape. We are at high elevation much of the time on this trip. Five passes, over 16,500 feet, are crossed. Steep dimbs and descents are made.
Trip Itinerary
Day 01 : pick up from the Int'l Airport, transfer to Hotel and welcome diner.
Day 02 : Sightseeing in Kathmandu Valley.
Day 03 : Flight from Kathmandu to Nepalgunj and overnight in hotel.
Day 04 : Flight from Nepalgunj to Juphal, Trek to Dunai (2100m) camp
Day 05 : Dunai to Tarakot (2520m) camp.
Day 06 : Tarakot to kanigaon (2540m).
Day 07 : Kanigaon to chheur (3610m).
Day 08 : Chheur to Sishul khola (3770m).
Day 09 : Sishul Khola to Dho Tarap (4150m).
Day 10 : Dho Tarap to Shering gomba (4000m).
Day 11 : Rest and visit Local village.
Day 12 : Shering Gomba to Namdo (3800m).
Day 13 : Namdo to Saldang (4270m).
Day 14 : Saldang to Namgaoun Gomba (4,380m).
Day 15 : Namgaon Gomba to Shey Gomba (4,280m).
Day 16 : Rest at Shey Gompa and visit school, Gompa, Village.
Day 17 : Shey Gomba to Over Ganja-La Mandala Camp (4,570m).
Day 18 : Ganjala to Phoksundo Lake (3,600m).
Day 19 : Phoksundo Lake to Chekpa (2710m).
Day 20 : Chekpa to Juphal.
Day 21 : Flight Juphal to Nepalgunj and Kathmandu, overnight in Hotel.
Day 22 : Free/shopping day in Kathmandu
Day 23 : Transfer to International Airport and fly home.
